*-------------------- Chat Logging Started -------------------------------*
Lojix: so we established that we all want the truce
Sattakan: Individual squabbles are expected
theconstant: Alright agreed then, if ya aint for the truce you can head for the door.
Hanzoh: We are hoping the truce is just the beginning leading to cooperation in the future
Illyria1: As do we.
MalakAlhaq: Let's continue with the actual discussion and not get sidetracked.
Sattakan: What grievances do the Zionites have with us machinists?
Aquatium: Any hostile activites with redpills that work with the Machines or the Merovingian have no effect with the Truce
Fenshire: Hostile activies against those who work with the Machines don't do the Truce any good, either.
imaximus: I belive since this is a meeting between Zion and The machines, everyon else should stay quiet, please.
Neoteny: We'd like Neo's body back, but that's more an issue to take up with the machines themselves. And of course, there's this recent proposal, which is plain ridiculous. But again, that's an issue to take up with the machines.
Sevenblade: *agree with Neoteny
Neoteny: Machinists? Nah, I've got nothing against them.
Sattakan: Alright let's slow down a moment
Mave: Yep. I concur Neoteny.
Sattakan: Is everyone here aware of the machines request?
Covenant: I agree Neotony, the sooner the Machines realize that access to the Mainframe will never happen, the better.
Gruk: I don't think this proposal is ridiculous at all.
Neoteny: Of course. And Niobe's counter-offer.
MalakAlhaq: I am not, Sattakan. Please explain.
Gruk: I think we should exchange access, as Niobe suggested
Asamodai: It's only limited access to the ZIon mainframe. Nothing that could be used to threaten Zion as a whole.
RedBindi: I agree. This proposal could lead to a better understanding for both sides. A closer working relationship
PS10N: Finding common ground isn't that difficult. No matter the Org or faction, all Redpills want reasonable freedom, a measure of power, and a stable Matix. Some may want more than that, but it all starts there for all of us.
Nov 26 18:25:50 2006 [Area] Hanzoh: Let's get to the point
Illyria1: What we would like to know are Zion's concerns with the request -- the Machines want access to Zion's personnel files.
Illyria1: Not their defense systems.
Illyria1: Not anything else.
Aquatium: What do the machines hope they will get from the Data?
theconstant: Zion's concerns with the request is the topic.
Tsusai: The Agents that met with us did not express specifics
Illyria1: The Machines have offered a psychological evaluation for Zion to use, but they may be willing to offer something else.
VAP0R: Such as?
Illyria1: We want to know what else you might want from the Machines.
Tsusai: I got the impression that it was all data, since no specifics were ever given
Illyria1: And we want to know about any concerns you might have with giving them access.
Aquatium: Do the machines really believe they will be able to detect future Anome's? ..for example
Mave: Yeah, We'd ike to hear some specifics.
Illyria1: It may be possible, Aquatium.
Mave: What exactly DO you want from our data?
Illyria1: The Machines want to spot problems before they happen.
Neoteny: Neoteny nods.
Aquatium: Your saying machines will predict Insanity
Illyria1: Nobody wants another Anome.
imaximus: Just like Police Depts have criminal records they can usually determin who will be repeat offenders
TheHidden01: What happens if you misinterpret data
Yahweh: This sounds a bit like Minority Report to me.
Mave: Spot problems? I highly doubt Machines can predict that.
Warboy: I say paperwork is just fine, anything else is uncalled for especially the mainframe
Neoteny: Hah... Exactly.
Mave: I'm sure we all saw Agent Smith coming didn't we?
Illyria1: The Machines will only offer suggestions at this time...they're not going to go storming into Zion and arrest anyone they think isn't stable.
VitaminI: Might I ask... what is in that Mainframe that has you so concerned?
Purpplo: Do the ///machines have a mainframe?
Mantra777: Give us Neo's body back to start
VitaminI: A few.
Illyria1: So before you automatically say that the Machines should not have access, think about what you might be able to get in return.
Mave: Our imformation. Just like precious information I'm sure the Machines have in their Database.
VitaminI: That has nothing to do with your Mainframe.
Sevenblade: What would we get in return?
Aquatium: Illriya.... the machines would have access to all redpill information
Sugaree: when morpheus told neo what had happened to others who had challenged agents, he was just generalizing from the data of the past. the machines want to do the same thing to avoid future calamity: learn from the facts of the past. i mean, what's the
VitaminI: So it's a matter of trust?
PS10N: But they may demand that we turn over anyone they deem to be an unstable and probable threat.
Aquatium: So its no you... its our information
Covenant: Illyria, there are always benefits and drawbacks. I think the drawbacks outweigh the benefits in this case.
RedBindi: I think the best option would be shared access for both sides.
Tsusai: Its just the idea of being asked for the entire thing.....No one has asked us for certain specifics, or parts. Yes I hear the machine ops talk about specifics...but the meetings between Niobe and the Agents do not specift specifics
theconstant: .....
VitaminI: And you don't trust them?
Aquatium: We are all invovled with tihs request
Illyria1: All we're asking is to state your objections and tell us what you want in return. We can pass that along to the Machines, and perhaps then some real negotiations can begin.
Warboy: Wait, Has this been discussed with Agent Pace? Ive heard she hasnt even heard about the mainframe problem
Illyria1: Thank you.
Mave: It's not the Machines we don't trust....it's their operatives.
Sattakan: Alright everyone quite we will have each clan voice their opinion one at a time
Aquatium: Well my question to you Illryia is simpley, this information request effecst you too, what do you think?
Mave: At least me anyway.
MalakAlhaq: So, the idea is to prevent future "problems" by analyzing zion's archives and their mainframe?
Illyria1: Aquatium, if a fair trade could be made, then I would allow the access.
Neoteny: Alright, I don't know what you all think, but the Machines didn't ask for Psychological data on operatives, they asked for all of our data.
Aquatium: Are you not concerned what they might gather from it that would risk mankind?
Mave: Indeed Neoteny.
Aquatium: You are Human too....right?
Neoteny: If they want to stop Anomes and such, that's fine, but why do they need all of our data?
Illyria1: Of course, we all are.
Mave: Access to Zion's mainframe would basically, for a lack of a better word, leave us standing with our dicks in our hands.
Illyria1: Then don't give them all the data. Give them access to some of it. Negotiate.
Mave: Should the truce break? What defense do we have?
VitaminI: How?
PS10N: please clarify. are the Machies asking for a current copy of our database, or continued access to the operations of the mainframe itself?
VitaminI: Exactly.
Neoteny: Isn't that a bit extravagent? everything in the Zion mainframe?
Aquatium: Then let me say this....
Mave: Indeed. Neoteny.
theconstant: ....If you assume the machines are against you, yes......but isn't that what most Zion operatives assume?
Sattakan: If the truce breaks Zion is gone just like the last 7 times no matter what you do
Neoteny: The machines asked for access to the 01 Mainframe. That's access to everything that's there. Not just bits and pieces.
VAP0R: Access to the mainframe is something we can't risk losing. Even in a case like this.
Aquatium: Your saying pick and choose information... then whats the point in the first place
Mave: Good job on the scare tactics Sattakan.
Lojix: and we would be gone too
Illyria1: The Sentinels will destroy it, no matter if the Machines have access to your mainframe or not.
Neoteny: Hovercraft signals, locations, et cetera. Hell, even your blood type.
TheHidden01: exactly
VitaminI: it is based off of TRUST. It's obvious this is only one sided.
theconstant (shouting): Jus like the last mech/zion meeting....ya'll never listen to eachother enough to fix anything.
Neoteny: They don't need that.
VAP0R: Access to the mainframe is something we can't risk losing. Even in a case like this.
Neoteny: Can we really trust them, though?
Mave: That's my point. Sentinels can easily destroy Zion. Of course that requires work. Having mainframe access would be make it as your machines call it..."Efficient".
Aquatium: I very much doubt everyone who fits Anomes profile would become like him...
VitaminI: If they'd make VALID arguements, I'd listen.
Neoteny: I mean of course, there is an extent to which we can, but to trust them with all fo the data in the Zion mainframe, that's pretty... insane.
Aquatium: Its almost like stereotypes will be targetted
Yami845: How do we know that you arnt going to stab us in the back after we were to give you access to the mainframe
Tefnut: We are all human. This request will do nothing but benifit us all who support the truce by having complete information disclosure to all parties. If the Machines wanted to break the truce, they could at any time and we would all be dead in no time.
VAP0R: Agreed.
Purpplo: Exactly?=.
Neoteny: I don't know how many of your are aware of it, but Niobe recently made a counter request for access to the 01 Mainframe. The machines brushed it off very quickly as a deal which was unsafe.
IHydrazine: Machines are programmed to not break the truce
Codiak: the machines have no right to our mainframe plaina and simple
Arandul: affirmative
theconstant: Would like to add one thing: Rakshas had an amazing pact with zion on Iterator....we know how to get things done without this mess. Anyone open to that, mech or zion....Just let us know.....Good luck
Mave: I know Neoteny. If it's a cooperation, why not grant us access in exchange?
sexywoman: Has the kid try to break into the Machines mainrame before?
Mave: What exactly are the Machines afraid of?
Neoteny: Why then, is it safe for them to have our data, but not vice versa? It's hypocracy. The only real solution we could come to is to share bits and pieces on threats, not potentital threats.
VitaminI: What are YOU afraid of?
Naabu: No the Kid has not.
Mave: Hmmm...Maybe the past six assaults on Zion.
imaximus: Ok, so we are getting somewhere, on of the things Zion wants in return on the is is Access the the MAchine Mainframe
VitaminI: Mave...
Aquatium: We are afraid of giving Machines intel which leaves us wide open
Neoteny: Speaking of which, I don't know about you, but I'm not comfortable with future events being solved.
VitaminI: your arguements are weak.
RedBindi: May I speak for a moment
Aquatium: Sattakan, we hardly had people stop talking during our time...
Mave: Insults get us no where. It's a cooperation. Trust, take the floor.
Sattakan: You will have your time again Aquatium
RedBindi: Thank you
RedBindi: There are deep trust issues on both sides
RedBindi: However, threats keep occuring. We must work together to stop these threats.
RedBindi: I do not believe giving only the Machines access to the complete database is the answer.
IHydrazine: The one Zion LO said that both the zion and the machine mainframes had been compromised illegally. both vector and syntax say this has not happened. Can i get an official word?
Mantra777: .
RedBindi: However. Sharing the access between the Machine and the Zion mainframes could be a good solution. Each side should choose representatives to have access to each mainframe
RedBindi: This could lead to a strengthing of relations between our two organizations and a furthering of the truce.
Purpplo: that is why i asked if we had a mainframe
Gruk: This is a great opportunity to help bridge the gap between Zion and Machines.
Gruk: There is a truce, yes, but all that has really done is kept us from killing each other
Codiak: quite a gap to bridge -
Gruk: We need to start working together if we ever want to have a lasting peace.
Gruk: And I think this would be a great way to start.
RedBindi: Believe us we know how hard it will be to bridge the gap.
RedBindi: Some work is already being done in that regard though
Truthful: it's not impossible, we just both have to want it
Sattakan: Is the Trust finished?
Sattakan: We shall move on
Gruk: Thank you.
RedBindi: I believe we are. Thank you for your patience
Sattakan: Let's here from a Machinist clan now. MCPD what say you?
Aquatium: The Machines wanting access is no way to work on the Truce
Aquatium: and what if they are denied?
Tefnut: With diplomacy comes compromise
imaximus: Theres not alot for the MCPD to say on the matter other than what Lyr has already said, We just want to know all of Zion's conerns, and what they may want in return for Access to thier Mainframe
imaximus: Again, the purpose for this is only to try and prevent futre "Anomes" from occuring
Sattakan: Thank you MCPD
Lojix: here is my issue
Arandul: think we can do that?
Lojix: there is a truce...yet we cant agree on how to keep things between the two groups peaceful
Lojix: acess to teh mainframe isnt a secret plot
Lojix: its an attempt to protect all of us
Lojix: its an attempt to ensure the future of both zion and teh matrix..not a plot to kill everyone
Lojix: the machines have given no reason to make anyone in zion feel uneasy to thier cause
Yami845: Yes it would allow Machines to predict future "Anomes" but it would also give them access to destroy Zion
VAP0R: Ultimately the machines need humans as much as humans need machines.
Lojix: obviously thats not what they want
Lojix: they could destroy zion with or without that information
Aquatium: You can't predict the instances where people can become unstable, no on can.
Asamodai: The Machines are not asking for Zion access codes or anything threatening to the city.
Lojix: we simply want to make sure that the people in the pods as well as all of us are safe within the matrix
Lojix: thanks
Sattakan: Thank you COTC
Purpplo: we nmean you no harm
Sattakan: Hanzoh what say you?
Codiak: the machines are no doubt experts at breaking into data that doesnt concern them
Codiak: give them an inch they WILL take a mile
IHydrazine: I dont think I have to tell you but if the Machines get access then they will go after EPN and the Kid. Zion needs EPN's support.
Hanzoh: I think there are some things we can in return for the codes. First we know the machines will keep to their word once they agree so I propose the following:
Hanzoh: The machines must protect the codes with strong encryption once they have them, so that no rogue machine, exile or human can access the data without authorisation
Hanzoh: the machines must then be under contract to protect zion if we are attacked
Codiak: machine checklist, 1 gain access to zion main frame. 2 exterminate EPN, 3 - learn the merv recipie for cake
Hanzoh: the machines must also send us a small team of engineers to fortify our defences, the work should be carried out transparantly with in cooperation with our engineers, also there is work to be done to improve the quality of life in zion
Hanzoh: and lastly the machines must help us in our efforts to reclaim the surface
Sattakan: Thank you Hanzoh
Lugubrion: Fortify your defenses from whom? Other Zionites?
Sattakan: DOE what say you?
Fenshire: We are in support of a shared access between Zion and the Machines. I, personally, also like the idea that Hanzoh just stated. The Machines helping to rebuild Zion and improve the quality of life.
Yami845: If we were to give you access what would The Machines be willing to give zion?
Cyko: (( Please note all your Concerns are being taken down and forwarded to those in negotiations ))
Illyria1: We need to know what Zion wants, so we can pass it on and see what the Machines will offer back.
Fenshire: The Machines have detailed research on the psyche of the human mind... research that could prove invaluable to Zion in helping to combat threats to both our ways of life.
Fenshire: I also support the idea of having specific representatives of each org having access, that way folks like EPN and the Cypherites don't get their hands on any sensitive data.
Fenshire: All yours, Vit.
Purpplo: where is NEO? not that RSI
VitaminI: The Truce and trust go hand in hand. Popular opinion coming from the Zion camp suggests there isn't much of it. And why, I wonder? History? Was all of that not erased from the foundation of this Truce we have currently?
VitaminI: Since the conception of this Truce, the Machines have done nothing but strengthen it. Uphold it. Honor it. Words that are foreign to them, seem to be handled without any malice or decpetion.
VitaminI: They ask a simple request. Accept it, decline it, or counter. Simple enough... even for you lot.
VitaminI: Then again, the decision isn't left to you, is it? Perhaps there is some hope.
Codiak: im sorry but the machines have a history of exterminating zion
Sattakan: Thank you DOE
Sattakan: Psion what say you?
Neoteny: The decision was made, already.
PS10N: If we are to expand on the Truce to include cooperation, then there must be negotiations in good faith, which requires some trust. Something must be offered on each side and conceded on each side. The Machines wish us ot offer our database, conceding
PS10N: then access to it. What do they offer Zion? What do they concede as a gesture of trust? You know what we suggest, proof of Neo's physical state or equal access to your database / mainframe.
As my second question, are you requesting a copy of our current database or full access in perpetuity?
PS10N: I move that Merrit be given the floor soon. I relinquish the floor now.
Mave: Neo dead...maybe...but putting his RSI on display like some pet at a Zoo really helps. ::chuckles::
Sattakan: Merrit will be given the floor soon, just not yet
Sattakan: Illyria what say The collevtive
PS10N: Please address my two questions. (shudding up now)
Mave: ((That was for a purpose. His RSI there now is nothing more than a taunt))
Illyria1: We will pass on the main points of this meeting to the Machines.
Naabu: ((If that is in fact, his RSI).
Illyria1: However, the Machines' human operatives can only make suggestions...we have no say in what they will or will not agree to.
BODRaz: We don't know what to believe.
BODRaz: You people assume too much about our organisation.
Illyria1: Would Zion be more willing to allow access by the Machines if Zion could supervise it?
Mave: If we're granted access to Machines DB, sure. We'll consider it.
Arandul: you can never trust machine, when you least expect it, they'll come drill your *CENSORED*!
Sattakan: FH respond
Mantra777: It's possible.
Codiak: and the logistics of the supervision would be what ?
Mave: As much as we like this Truce, it's becoming a Cold War.
Illyria1: The truce is what keeps us all alive.
BODRaz: It's been a cold war from the start, Mave.
Aquatium: We would want to know exactly what they want and how they plan on using that intel
Illyria1: No redpills want to see it destroyed.
Illyria1: The Machines don't want that either.
Aquatium: We all are here to protect the bluepills as well
Mave: Of course. That would me all you Machine operatives would die as well.
Mave: mean* ((*CENSORED* TYPOS!!!))
Sattakan: Neoteny please respond to Illyria
Hanzoh: Once the machines have access it is too late, our defences can be shut down, that is why they must agree to defend us, perhaps by placing unarmed sentries in the access tunnels to forewarn so they can come in while we fend off any attack
Neoteny: Supervision's fine. I'd prefer just to share pertinent information, though.
Illyria1: I will pass that along, Neoteny.
Sattakan: BodRAz what say you?
Mantra777: May I add one thing
Illyria1: Go ahead.
Mantra777: If possible to Give both Machine ANd Zion Encrypted passwors to make the ranssitions
BODRaz: Well I feel that if a speaker from EPN is to speak, it should be one that fully supports the truce. In order to speak as a person hopefully not considered a terrorist.
Sattakan: I am giving everyone a voice
BODRaz: Which I feel I am.
BODRaz: a truce supporter that is.
Merrit: 15 Yes, the deal would be based on trust, and trust alone, but when you look at it, who has the most to lose if the trust is misplaced?
Merrit: My apologies.
Neoteny: Exactly, Merrit.
Illyria1: We understand that trust takes a long time to develop, especially in a situation like ours.
Sattakan: Your time will come soon Merrit
Illyria1: Someone has to be brave enough to trust first.
Illyria1: Thank you.
Sattakan: Asamodai what say you?
BODRaz: The real question is, we need to fully decipher of what magnitude this data the machines want and how important it is, and ask for something in return that is of equal magnitude.
Asamodai: Thanks Sattakan. I wanted to address Zions apparant concerns for their cities safety.
BODRaz: before anything can be discussed, we must find out and analyse how important this information that the machines want.
Asamodai: Now, I'm sure there's alot of people in Zion with access to the mainframe.
Neoteny: It has been asked... For those of you who don't know, Niobe has already requested access to the 01 Mainframe in exchange, just so this issue doesn't get repeated. Sorry.
Asamodai: From Lock and Niobe to lowly administrative staff.
VAP0R: Ultimately the machines and humans need eachother for survival. While all your concerns are genuine, I see no reason why this exchange shouldn't take place. Nor do I see how it poses any threat to the truce.
Neophite: After watching agent Gray gank operatives indescriminately, I have no desire to allow tha Machines to adopt of program of terminating redpills they think MIGHT be threat, it's the wrong idea at the wrong time and it's not necessary to sustain the truce
Asamodai: But does this mean anyone in Zion could bring down the whole citites defenses?
Asamodai: No. It is clearly possible to define levels of access.
Codiak: anyone in zion coudl do that already if they wanted to
BODRaz: As an EPN that has family who live in Zion, I wouldn't feel confortable releasing information to them that they could use against me and my organisation.
Sattakan: FH you have the floor
Neoteny: They didn't ask for a level of access, though. They asked for access. Full, pure, and simple.
BODRaz: The sam e should be said for any Zion operatives with family who live in Zion.
Mave: I agree with Neoteny. They asked for access.
Mave: No specifics.
Asamodai: They didn't. Only enough to help detect defects like Anome.
Mave: Unfortunately, it's too Vague of a response.
Codiak: but what is eniugh access....
Codiak: enough
Mave: You can't predict Anomes and Tarcroesses.
Mave: They did their jobs, just like everyone else.
Tefnut: You can to a degree. It is called Profiling.
Asamodai: You can. Not perfectly but it's possible.
Codiak: you cant predict free borns either
Mave: Profiling. So even innocent folks can be profiled and handled.
Aquatium: Why not just leave that to Zion
Sevenblade: So if you profile wrong?
PS10N: PS10N mutters about "do they want a current copy of our database or full access in perpetuity".
Mave: Sorry, that's not Machine Efficient.
Aquatium: we are getting profiles from this too
Sattakan: Zion failed in the past
Asamodai: And wouldn't having both groups be beneficial than just 1?
Neoteny: They asked for access, which is assumed to be full access. We need to compromise and agree to share pertinent information to current threats. Stoping future threats is insane. Who's to say if it would have happened? Suddenly probability equals sentencing.
Sevenblade: So give us equal access
Mave: Zion didn't fail. It's called Human Error.
Sattakan: Something the machines do not tolerate
Mave: Just like if a Machine Operative got access to Zion Inforamtion.
Neophite: the machines cannot solve the equation of choice yet somehow they will be able to detect and take action against potential Anomes flawlessly?
Ebola: Have you all realized... you have said the exact same thing, over and over, for the past hour?
Aquatium: We? you mean your superiors
Neoteny: Niobe made the counter-request. It's out there. Now we'll see what they do with it.
Mave: Human error is inevitable, just like choice.
IR0N: I know I should talk, but Satta, you're making it sound like Zion has no choise. Just because we have failed before does not mean it will happen again.
Mave: My problem isn't Machine trust
Asamodai: I can't speak for the Agents. personally i see no problem with giving Zion similar access to the Machine network.
Sattakan: Okay Laveda has the floor
Aquatium: What about the machines and Smith....
Mave: It's Machine opertative trust.
Aquatium: They needed a Redpill to stop that
Mave: What's stopping A reneagade machine op from going nuts?
Mave: Profiling? No sorry. The door swings both ways.
Lojix: has that happened?
ZippyTheSquirrel: Didn't a Zionite cause Smith? Sorry, just pointing things out.
paintballa4lyfe: *CENSORED* ZION EVERYONE ISNT OUT TO GET YOU
Mave: Has it happened? No..but could it happen? Yes...
Aquatium: Quiet? you said we had the floor
Mave: Because you're human.
Asamodai: Note, Agent Smith was only changed due to the effects of the One.
Sattakan: Give others a chance to respond Aquatium
VitaminI: Why are we talking about SMITH?
Asamodai: Without the Anomaly there is no need for an equal opposite.
Mave: Neo is a failure to balance the equation by the Machines.
Sattakan: Laveda has the floor
Neoteny: Good question.
VitaminI: What does he have to do with the current proposal?
Mave: So the core of it really is Machine Fault.
VitaminI: NOTHING.
Mave: But let's not get into that.
Laveda: Ebola and Trucidus will speak for us all
Asamodai: However, men like Anome are not bound by the laws of the system and can rise at any time.
Sattakan: Ths meeting is accomplishing alot, now let Laveda speak
Ebola: Zion, hear me
Mave: Sure...Men. You're human.
Neophite: what will the collective do when the machines decide Illyria is a threat to the Matrix because she possesses some similar potentially dangerous psychological characterisristics of Anome?
Aquatium: Well it never was going to get that much done, only a Machine , a real Machine can tell us the answers to our questions
Mave: Despite your Machine Alliance, you are human.
Jimmy21: yes
Ebola: I wont repeat what has been said about a thousand times in the past hour
Mave: Meaning you can go nuts. You can snap. Why? Because you're human.
Sattakan: Please people have respected you, respect others and let them speak. Merrit is nex
Neophite: access to the zion mainframe is not the issue so much as what the machines intend to accomplish with it
Mave: A crazy Human Machinist with Sensitive Data like Zion's DB. Too much of a risk.
Ebola: S something a little more interesting, TantaIos has an allieance with the Disciples, he came to us to try and get him help in assissiting him
Mave: I believe FH had the floor at the moment?
Cyko: (( Same with Zion , Aquatium.... None of you are deciding... ))
Neoteny: The Disciples? As in Manssen Park?
Trucidus: Clearly information trading between your organizations is not your concern instead we will bring to light certian information we have aquired most notably who Tantalos is working with to keep TIMMCAN captive.
Ebola: I suggest that you all work together, and take out some disciples, and figure out what he is really up to
Trucidus: It is none other than the blood drinkers of Mansen. Tantalos ordered Cypherite operatives to cease all attacks on them. I refused to negotiate and refused all bribes instead I have chosen to bring this to light to all of you.
Aquatium: Exactly.... so it never was going to achieve that much
VitaminI: Satta, who has the floor?
Atheros: Who has the floor, operatives?
Ebola: The Cyphs have the floor
Illyria1: Calm down, everyone.
Sattakan: Cyphs do followed by Warboy then Merrit
Neophite: What we should be working on is how we operatives can work together to protect the Matrix against all possible enemies, our orgs will make the decisions about mainframe acces
Trucidus: Its your choice how to handle it. Frankly if you are interested in the security of yourselves you will help us.
Ebola: Enoguh with the *CENSORED* mainframe, youve discussed it to death
Ebola: TantaIos told us to attack the Chopper exile group
Neoteny: Tell that to Escondido, Trucidus. He very clearly stated that he does not wish for external involvement.
Ebola: and assist him in protecting the Disciples
Cyko: (( Point of this meeting was ot hear each others concerns and forward it to your superiors. That does alot for them ))
Ebola: It would be in everyones best interest to find out why, and to attack the Disciples instead
Trucidus: I have and he and I discussed bringing this to you in detail Neotony
Asamodai: Protect the Disciples? I'll pass
Sattakan: Thank you Cyphs
Sattakan: Warboy you have the floor
Ebola: No I said attack them Asamodai :p
Warboy: Thank you Sattakan
Mave: ::sigh:: This certainly turned out interesting.
Sattakan: Warboy?
Warboy: Ive been listening to all the Pros and Cons of this, I have this to say about it. I think the machines should have access to only Medical Records if their not willing to give Zion access to the Machine mainframe.
Codiak: how you proposing to enforce their access rights to zions systems, as we know they are very sophisticated as getting into data
Warboy: its a eye for a eye matter, and if the machines demand the zion mainframe without access to the machine mainframe, i say thats a antitrust case right there.
VAP0R: I'm curious to hear Merrits response to all this.
Sevenblade: Hear hear, Warboy
Codiak: sure, give big brother yet another tool to use against us
Purpplo: so exchange access rights already
Sattakan: Forgive me Merrit we have one more speaker before you
Merrit: Please, go right ahead.
Codiak: is that the system wanting control..... the answe is yes
Warboy: I say the machines have alot a things to offer before we even think about giving access to the mainframe
Sattakan: Thank you Warboy we must move on now
Sevenblade: Namely, a few bodies...
BODRaz: Exactly what I was saying, Warboy.
Warboy: Indeed
Sattakan: Mantra you have the floor
Mantra777: Well Alll i want is if the meachines needs the access is to have two passwords...for both zions and machines to access the data
Mantra777: and vice versa with the machine access
Sattakan: Thank you Mantra
Sattakan: Let us now pass the floor over to Merrit
Sevenblade: Kinda like a double key to launch a nuke?
Mantra777: exactly seven
Merrit: Shall I go ahead?
VAP0R: Please do Merrit.
Merrit: I didn't intend on speaking today, but as it was requested, I appreciate the opportunity.
Merrit: I won't go over the same points that have been given throughout the meeting. Yes, both sides have a lot to gain in this deal if we reach an agreement.
Merrit: The truce can be strengthened, and our relationship with each other can grow. Definitely positives.
Merrit: But, what if something happens, and we run into a bad scenario.. what if the truce does not last?
Merrit: The machines already have the capabilty of destroying us, we've seen how things have played out in the past. They already have an advantage. Our best defenses are tied to that mainframe, and a lot of the information in it.
Merrit: And, as I said of course, the deal is based on trust and trust alone, but who has the most to lose if that trust is misplaced?
Merrit: Another concern, is what consquences will we face, if any, if the Council refuses to deal? Don't take it out of context, I'm not saying Sentinels are going to beat down the doors of our ships if we say no.
Merrit: Also, I'm not saying the machines would hold any ill will toward us if in fact, we do refuse, but I'm only asking.. what if?
Merrit: Trust is an excellent thing to have, and I'm glad that we have it. But what is risked on the behalf of us, and I mean all of us, as humans, that means Zion, Merovingian, Machinist, E Pluribus Neo, Cypherite....
Merrit: ... by placing that trust within ourselves and within the machines, is our future, our freedom, and our lives.. and that's a tall order. A very tall order. I only hope everyone will keep that in mind.
Merrit: With that said, if the machines agree to Niobe's terms, and the Council agrees to deal, I for one will look forward to seeing what we can get accomplished working more closely together.
Merrit: At that point, it will only be for the best to remain positive and put faith in the truce and that things will work out fine. Thank you for your time.
Sattakan: And this meeting is a start Merrit
VAP0R: Well stated.
Cyko: Very Good Merrit
Sattakan: Atheros would like to respond. Thank you Merrit
ThePeacemaker: She's right. It's a matter of trust.
Atheros: Thank you, Sattakan.
Atheros: And thank you, Merrit.
Atheros: Wise words indeed.
Atheros: I would just like to note something. Something to all those who are present, and in memory of those who came before us...
Atheros: It wasn't long ago that Sentinels stood on the very door-steps of Zion. Since then, bullet shells and blood shed has still paved the ground of the Megacity...
Atheros: Yet, through all of this, we find ourselves here.
PS10N: Agree 100% Merrit, let's trust our leaders.... for a change at least.
Atheros: For those who have fallen, for those who have left, and for those who are still fighting, we have to thank, for now we debate a brighter future for everyone, and not just the survival of one lifeform.
BODRaz: Here, here.
Atheros: Truley. I think we have all gained perspective, wisdom, and something more...
Sugaree: amen, atheros, amen
Atheros: Thats all I have.
Atheros: Thank you.
Sattakan: As promised the Mervs who have been sitting here would like to make a comment
Sattakan: The floor is yours
sexywoman: Im looking though both sides. First from zion. What happen when you are denided of your access to them mainframe?
Mave: I'm sure the Highe ups know. We don't.
Mave: We're simply Operatives.
sexywoman: Are you just going to hack into and steal the info you need?
Cyko: As participants of this meeting, We are here to take our concerns to our higher ups like Mave stated.
Cyko: No one knows that one again.
Mave: No one knows.
Drasis: Well, it'd be a bit difficult for a zionist to get into 01 to start hacking....plus the truce ramifications
Sevenblade: Which is the main problem...
Aquatium: Well we hope this meeting will help with the conerns we have.
Mave: Only The Higher Ups know that.
