Vogt: And I've seen more than once that new operatives feel more confortable in newer factions than established ones. Don't ask me why however.

d4sh: I think the difference in experience might be a reason to join a somewhat newer faction.

d4sh: Even though the established factions are always around, willing to help out wherever... I guess it takes some getting used to.

Vogt: The Zero One Network has always been our main tool for communication. But it has always been important that operatives that don't have access to it are still aware of the current issues.
Vogt: The Commission had requested a Moderator status a few months ago, but moderators have voted against it until they make their proofs.
Vogt: After the holiday break, you will have a chance to resubmit an application.

Starschwar: Regardless, thus far it has only taken controll of programs and exiles.
Mathalos: He chose the Accelerator program since he knew that SIMLO would call for Agent Assistance.
HostileIntention: I think the Merovingian has more to worry about than us, frankly.
Vogt: We could have known more about him maybe.
Mathalos: His Accelerator program can override the Agent's programming and turn them against us, and if he chooses the decelerator program, the Intruder himself disabled the Agent programs.
Vogt: But for the first time, we have refused an assignment.

Vogt: When we asked what we could do, we have been presented a pretty random lead.
Starschwar: E, it's doubtful. The auditor seemed to recognize its code.
Mathalos: It seems similar to the Cryptos situation. the Agents are telling us what they want us to know, but it may not be the truth.
Vogt: I feared that all of this might have been wasted efforts from our part, while the Machines already know the answers but they prefer not to share them.
Mathalos: But for a man of the power that the Intruder has, the Machines have sure been acting relaxed with dealing with him.
Vinia: We honestly don't know what the Machines are doing in the background
Vogt: So to avoid wasting your efforts, and to not have you go against the will of the Machines, we have opted out of the assignment.
d4sh: When do we ever?
Starschwar: What did they want us to do, Vogt?
Vogt: They didn't want us to do anything.
Starschwar: What was the assignment, then?
Vogt: It was a proposition from my part on how we could help.
Vogt: Investigating on some Exiles that propably have nothing to do with all that, while suspecting the Machines to already know what we want to know.

Vogt: I had a bad feeling about this.

Vogt: And I didn't want us to lose face, against others, and against our leaders.
Starschwar: Yeah.... remember how Pace said they tried to negotiate with it before it came into the matrix? In all honesty, when have they negotiated with *anyone* willing to harm the system?
